About OD Babalola

OD Babalola, commonly known as Tokesi, is a devout Christian who by grace came to faith in early childhood supported by his Christian upbringing.
His essays often explore the subtle ways in which even Christians can have their thoughts and worldviews shaped negatively by the culture around them. He believes in the transformative power of the Holy Spirit to renew our minds through the application of Scripture and prayer. In this way, Christians can become fully submitted to Christ, enslaved to righteousness, and free from sin.
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is — His good, pleasing and perfect will.”
— Romans 12:2
He believes that the written word remains one of the most powerful tools for sharing and passing down foundational Christian teaching and wisdom.
This space was created as a canvas for sharing long-form biblical reflections that encourage young Christians in the truth of who they are in Christ and how to walk in step with Him.
Currently based in London, Tokesi spends his free time away from his full-time job with friends, engrossed in books, writing his thoughts, occasionally sketching, working out, and taking regular unplanned trips to his local Tesco.
